
PULWAMA — Government Forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation in two hamlets of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The search operation is in progress in two villages of the district, even when this report is being filed.
Sources said that combined forces including soldiers from 50 and 55 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operations Group of local Police and 180 and 182 Battalions of Paramilitary CRPF cordoned off Murran and Ashmandar villages of the district after receiving specific inputs about the presence of militants.
Sources added that door to door search operation was initiated and all the entry and exit points of the village have been sealed.
Local sources said that huge contingents of forces have been deployed in these areas, however, no contact with militants has been established so for.
