Stay at home, cooperate with us: Pulwama Police


PULWAMA — Police in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have appealed to the people to stay at their homes and not to venture out unnecessarily. The appeal comes after the threat of spread of Coronavirus is looming large.

“People of Pulwama are requested to stay at home as strict restrictions shall continue. All vehicles carrying patients to District Hospital Pulwama, coming from areas of Kakapora, Koil, Tahab, Payer and Shopion are requested to enter the town via Tahab crossing,” a police official said.

He added, “Similarly, vehicles of government employees having essential duties coming from these areas shall enter the town via the same route. No vehicle shall be allowed to enter through routes like Peaks Automobile crossing, Gango crossing, Payer crossing, Koil crossing, Drussu crossing and Boonura crossing.”

As per the official, all these routes have been completely sealed. “Kindly cooperate with the security personnel who are on the ground. Strict action under law will be taken against defaulters,” he said.
