QAZIGUND — The dead body of an 18-year-old girl was recovered under mysterious conditions from an orchard at Baapora area of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Reports reaching here said that the locals of the area spotted the body of the girl, hanging in the nearby orchard at Baapora Qazigund and immediately informed concerned police station about it.
A police team reached the spot and took the body for postmortem and other medico-legal formalities.
A police officer also confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Nazia Akhtar (18), daughter of Mohammad Amin Shah of Baapora, Qazigund.
A case under section 174 CrPc has been registered and further investigations into the incident have been initiated, the police official added.
