SRINAGAR — A 19-year-old youth has gone missing from his home for nearly a week now in Dadsara Awantipora of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Kashif Mir, a student of 11th standard, as per a family member went missing from his home on March 20.

“We have been looking for him at every possible place, however, we have been unable to locate him for nearly a week now,” he said, adding that “a missing report, dated March 20, has been already registered in this regard.”

Meanwhile, a police official confirmed receipt of a missing report from the family of the youth, saying, “Efforts are on to trace the teenager.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Mir’s two elder siblings Nayeem Bashir and Adil Bashir, both belonging to militant outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, were killed in separate encounters in 2010 and 2014 respectively.
