
PULWAMA — At least three persons died while one sustained critical injuries after a tent in which people were staying came under the debris in Ratherpora area of Awantipora here in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The debris destroyed the tent after rains triggered mudslides in the area.
District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Baseer-ul-Haq Chowdary, told news agency Kashmir News Trust that four persons were injured after a bund caved in and its debris fell on a make-shift tent.
He said the injured were shifted to hospital where three among them succumbed. He said another person is undergoing treatment in the hospital.
He informed that the three deceased hail from Kalakote area of Rajouri district and are part of three different families. All four persons were part of a nomad group.
