Three injured due to gas leak blast in Qazigund

QAZIGUND — At least three persons received burn injuries in a blast caused by gas leak in Badragund area of Qazigund in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday late evening.

Reports reaching here said that on highway (NH44) in Badragund area of Qazigund when the driver was cooking meals in the truck cabin, leakage of gas took place which caused damage to the vehicle and left three persons injured.

An official identified the injured persons as Somdath (32) son of Jagir Ram resident of Bishna Jammu, Vinod Kumar (29) son of Krishan Lal resident of Bishna Jammu and Satnam Singh (35) son of Breath Singh resident of R S Pora have been hospitalized, an officer said.

Meanwhile, police has registered a case in this regard and initiated investigation into the incident.
