
SRINAGAR — Three militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit were killed in an encounter in the woods of Nagbaeran area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
Inspector General of Police for Kashmir range, Vijay Kumar told news agency GNS that three militants of JeM have been killed in upper reaches of Tral. However, their identity couldn’t be established yet, as per the IGP.
Earlier, reports reaching GNS said that a joint team of Police and Army launched a cordon and search operation in the Tral woods.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
