Three arrested 'LeT militant associates' in Budgam

BUDGAM — Police in Budgam along with 53RR claimed to have arrested three militant associates linked with proscribed LeT outfit and recovered incriminating materials from their possession.

Budgam Police in a statement said three militant associates identified as Adil Ahmad Dar, Tahir Ahmad Bhat, both residents of Narbal and Ghulam Mohd Gojre, resident of Kawoosa Khalisa were arrested.

The statement claimed that “preliminary investigation revealed that the arrested militant associates were providing shelter, logistics and other material support including transportation of arms and ammunition of the militants of proscribed outfit LeT in Magam, Narbal and Beerwah areas of Budgam.”

“All the three arrested militant associates have been in touch with the Pakistan militant commanders through various social media platforms as well as were also in constant touch with Lashkar-e-Toiba commander Mohd Yousuf Dar alias Kantro & Abrar Nadeem Bhat,” it added.

“Incriminating material including ammunition and posters of proscribed terror outfit LeT were recovered from the possession of the arrested terrorist associates,” the statement added.

“Accordingly, a case FIR No. 51/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Magam and investigation into the matter has been initiated,” the statement reads.
