Three LeT OGWs arrested in Sopore: Police
Arms and ammunition, as claimed by the police, have been recovered from the OGWs

SOPORE — Three Over Ground Workers (OGW) of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were on Saturday arrested during a Cordon and Search Operation in Bomai and Tarzoo areas of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.

Officials said that three LeT OGWs were arrested by a joint team of Army’s 22/52 RR, SOG Sopore at Sidiq Colony area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday. They said arms and ammunition were also recovered from them.

The officials identified the arrested OGWs as Shabir Ahmad Mir alias Molvi, son of Muhammad Sultan Mir of Brath Kalan Sopore, Muhammad Abbas Mir, son of Abdul Rashid Mir of Brath Kalan Sopore and Fahim Nabi Bhat alias Doctor, son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat of Tarzoo Sopore

Sopore police, meanwhile, claimed to have recovered one pistol, two pistol magazines, 73 pistol rounds and one UBGL launcher from their possession.

Police said that a case was also registered in Police Station Sopore.
