Three MP’s to arrive in Kashmir on March 15

Will be honoring “excellent people” in Jammu and Kashmir


SRINAGAR — Three sitting Parliament Members (MP’s) are likely to arrive in Kashmir valley in March, where they are going to honour “excellent people” for which list of nominations will be out next week.

Top sources revealed that three parliamentarians are all set to arrive in Kashmir valley on March 15, adding that the members will participate in an award function titled “Real Hero Awards” where they will present awards to youth icons, media persons, social activists, medicos, Para-medicals, sports persons, young politicians and others at SKICC Srinagar.

“Panel of experts is scrutinizing the nominations including the names of officials from police and civil administration. There are more than 1200 nominations which are being scrutinized. The link to send nominations will close on 28 February, 2021. The nominations will be out next week. The nominations would be announced virtually, following the current safety measures,” sources said.

Sources privy to nomination scrutinizing said that daily English newspapers, Srinagar-based news gathering agencies are also in the list in the category of Media. Journalists having exceptional service in reporting of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Mission, civic issues, rural and urban reporting are also in the list.

The event is being organized under the banner of the South Asia Peace Movement.
