Two AGH activists held after hideout busted in Shopian

SHOPIAN — Police on Sunday claimed that it busted a hideout in the house of a man associated with Ansar Ghazwatul Hind (AGH) and recovered arms and ammunition in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Police sources said that police party from Shopian, soldiers from 1 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF 178 Battalion raided the house of an AGH activist Muhammad Amin Wani alias Molvi at Safnagri Zainapora and busted a hideout located in his house.

Sources said that two magazines and 15 rounds of AK-47 rifle, a grenade and two pouches were recovered from the hideout. The house owner and a 23-year-old youth Aqib Manzoor Sheikh of Babapora were apprehended.
