Woman commits suicide in north Kashmir’s Bandipora

BANDIPORA — A 25-year-old woman on Saturday early morning committed suicide after consuming some poisonous substance at her home in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Reports reaching here said that the woman was a resident of Quilmuqam village. She was immediately rushed to a local hospital for treatment from where she was referred to District hospital Bandipora.

However, doctors at Bandipora hospital declared her as brought dead. “The reason for the suicide was not immediately known,” an official said.

An official said that police has registered a case under relevant sections of law and further investigations have been initiated in this regard.
