SHOPIAN — An Army patrolling party detained a youth wearing Army-style clothing in south Kashmir’s Shopian district and handed him over to local police for verification.
Locals said that a youth, whom they identified as 19-year-old Anayat Reyaz Ganaie, a resident of Ramnagri Shopian, was detained by soldiers from 62 Rashtriya Rifles.
They said the youth was picked up for allegedly wearing camouflage-type clothes.
The Army later handed over the youth to police to ascertain his antecedents.
