Pakistan again violates truce on LoC, Indian Army retaliates

JAMMU — Pakistan Army continued violating the ceasefire by firing small arms on the Line of Control (LoC) in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Defence spokesman here on Sunday said that during the night of May 3-4, Pakistan Army posts resorted to unprovoked small arms fire across the LoC in areas opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor in J&K.

“Indian Army responded promptly and proportionately,” he said.

Border tension escalated between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of April 22 Pahalgam attack.
