JAMMU — In yet another incident of ceasefire violation, the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked small-arms firing along the Line of Control in parts of five districts in Jammu and Kashmir.

Defence spokesman on Tuesday morning said, “During the night of May 5-6, Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked small-arms firing from posts across the Line of Control in areas opposite Kupwara, Baramulla districts of Kashmir region and in Mendhar in Poonch district, Naushera, Sunderbani in Rajouri district and in Akhnoor area of Jammu district.”

“Indian Army responded in proportionate manner,” he added.

This is for the 13th consecutive day that the Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing along the Line of Control.
