DSS Recruitment for 69 Special Educator positions under PM Shri Scheme

SRINAGAR — The Directorate of Samagra Shiksha in Jammu and Kashmir has announced a golden job opportunity for individuals seeking to contribute to the education sector. Applications are invited for 69 contractual positions of Special Educators under the PM Shri Scheme, aiming to fill 34 roles in the Kashmir Division and 35 in the Jammu Division. Prospective candidates must fulfil certain eligibility criteria, including possessing a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50 per cent marks, a B.Ed Special Education qualification, or an equivalent certification recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Successful candidates will be engaged on a contractual basis for a period of one year, with a monthly remuneration of Rs 25,000.

Applicants are required to be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, holding a domicile certificate issued by the competent authority in the specified format, valid as of the last date for submitting the online application.

The selection process will be based on merit, considering percentages obtained in the Undergraduate (UG) degree (25 per cent), B.Ed Special Education (50 per cent), Postgraduate (PG) degree (10 per cent), and additional higher qualifications in Special Education (15 per cent).

Essential documents for the application include a date of birth certificate, domicile certificate, degree certificates along with mark sheets, and a duly filled affidavit, among others.
