In this post, we will be discussing the prestigious and most sought-after jobs in J&K’s Civil Secretariat and that too, in the Information Technology (IT) Department. Applicants must note that this is the first recruitment of 2016 by J&K’s IT Department. So, it is a must apply job for anyone who meets the eligibility criteria.

These are high-salaried jobs and there is an increment of Rs. 3000 for every year. The starting salary is Rs. 25,837. Though these are contractual jobs but the period of the contract is 4 years which can further be extended if your performance is satisfactory.

Unlike, the jobs offered by JKSSB and JKPSC for which a huge amount is charged as an application fee, there is no application fee to apply for these jobs. All you need to do is to download the application form and then submit it.

Vacancy Details
State Subject: The applicant must be a permanent resident of Jammu and Kashmir.
Number of Vacancies: 46

Vacancy-wise break-up of posts is as under:

1) District Level Manager:
No. of Vacancies: 44 posts
Pay-Scale: Starting Salary: Rs 25857 (28,442 p.m. for the second year, 31,286 p.m. for the third year and 34,415 p.m. for the fourth year)
2) State Project Manager:
No. of Vacancies: 2 Posts
Pay-Scale: Starting Salary: Rs 51713 (Rs 56884 p.m. for the second year, 62,573 p.m. for the third year and 68,830 p.m. for the fourth year

What is the Eligibility Criteria?
Applicants willing to apply for District Level Manager and State Project Manager must fulfil the below-mentioned eligibility conditions:

  • Applicant must be a State Subject of Jammu and Kashmir.
  • Age: Applicants’ age should range between 24-35 years (as on December 1, 2015).
  • Educational Qualification: Applicant must fulfil the post-wise educational qualification conditions as mentioned in the official advertisement notification.

Selection Process: The selection process for the recruitment of the above-mentioned posts comprises of academic merit, experience and interview. The list of shortlisted candidates for the interview will be published on the official website on March 7, 2016 and the interviews will commence from March 15, 2016.

Receipt of Application Forms: The duly filled-in application form, complete in all respects, accompanied by documents such as PRC, Date of Birth Proof (Matric Diploma), Qualification Certificates, and Experience Certificates should reach the Office of Commission Secretary, IT Department, Civil Secretariat, Jammu before February 29, 2016.
