University of Kashmir Contractual Lecturer Recruitment 2018

Srinagar: University of Kashmir (KU) has announced University of Kashmir Contractual Lecturer Recruitment 2018.

Advertisement Notifications (Advertisement Notice No. 01 of 2018 & Advertisement Notice No. 02 of 2018) have been issued by the University for engagement of Lecturers for the Academic Arrangement for the Academic Session 2018.

Applications on the prescribed format, which can be downloaded from the University website at www.kashmiruniversity.net, are invited for engagement of Lecturers on Academic Arrangements in the following Departments / Campuses for the academic year 2018.

The engagement of the Lecturers through University of Kashmir Contractual Lecturer Recruitment 2018 can be extended to consecutive three academic sessions subject to satisfactory performance of the lecturer.

The candidates possessing NET / SET / Ph.D in the relevant subject / discipline with minimum of 55% marks at Post-graduate level are eligible to apply for the post:

However, desirable qualification in the following subjects shall be as under:

i. Islamic Studies: Proficiency in Arabic I, II, III, IV, Comparative Study of Religions, Islam and Science, Muslim Philosophy & IImul Kalam, Islam & Orientalism, GE& OE Courses, Religious Sciences.

ii. Library & Information Science: Open Source, Information Retrieval Collection Development, University Libraries Reference Management Software.

iii. History: Medieval India, Kashmir History, Modern World.

iv. Chemistry: Physical & Organic Chemistry.

v. Earth Science: (a) Applied Geology, Igneous & Metamorphic Petrology / Hydrogeology / Ore, Fuel, Exploration Geology / Geophysics & (b) Geoinformatics: M.Tech (Geo-Informatics) Remote Sensing / GIS or M.Sc Applied Geology with PG diploma in remote Sensing & GIS.

vi. Geography & Regional Development: Disaster Management / Geography / Environmental Science / Geology.

vii. Management Studies: Finance / Marketing / HR, MFC / MBA; Finance; Tourism; IT.

viii. CCAS: Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archeology, Indian Architecture.

ix. Urdu: Literary trends, Urdu Criticism, Urdu Linguistics.

x. Arabic: Quranic Studies.

xi. Persian: Indo Persian Literature / Manuscript-logy, Modern Spoken Persian, and literary criticism.

xii. Foreign Language: PG in German Language (Literature, Civilization, Translation).

xiii. Linguistics: Syntax, Morphology, Functional English & Phonology, Field Linguistics, Historical Linguistics, Sociolinguistics, Psycholinguistics.

xiv. Bio-Resources: Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, Bio-resources with specialization in
Entomology, Animal Resources, Animal Cell and Tissue Technology, Immunology, Parasitological, Bioinformatics.

xv. Home Science: Human Development, Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition.

xvi. Electronics: M. Tech in Electronics or equivalent.

xvii. Pharmaceutical Sciences: Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics.

xviii. Physical Education & Sports: Sports Biomechanics / Exercise Physiology.

xix. Education: Educational Technology and ICT, Educational Administration, Guidance Counseling / Special Education, Curriculum Development, Statistics in Education / Population Education, M.A English / Linguistics, Masters in Zoology / Botany / Physical Science / History.

* Candidates possessing:

i) BE / B.Tech (CSE / IT) with M.E M.Tech (CSE / IT) or M.E / M.Tech (CSE / IT) (without undergraduate engineering degree) and with one year teaching experience at PG level can also apply for IT & SS (Main Campus).

ii) M. Tech (CSE) / ECE. Eng. / Mechanical Eng. / B.Tech with GATE can also apply for Computer Science Engineer (North Campus).

iii) M.Com / MFC with NET / Ph.D, M.Sc. IT / B.Tech CSE / MCA can also apply for IMBA (North Campus).

However, the candidate with the experience and knowledge of Bio-Informatics tools shall be given the preferences for the Bio-Informatics subject.

Further, in partial modification of Advertisement Notice No. 02; Dated: 09-02-2018 regarding the desirable qualifications of the following subjects be read as under:

a) Computer Science: BE / B.Tech (CSE / IT) with ME / M.Tech (CSE / IT).

b) Geo-Informatics: M.Sc / M.Tech Geo-Informatics Remote Sensing / GIS or M.Sc Applied Geology with PG Diploma in Remote Sensing and GIS with at least 55% marks at Master’s Level. OR ii) Applicants with NET qualification, Ph.D / M.Phill with Remote Sensing / GIS research experience and teaching experience shall be given preference.

NOTE:

a) Candidates in their own interest are advised to be in touch with the Deans of the concerned Schools about the date, venue and time of the interview.

b) Salary of the appointees shall be paid on the basis of their qualification.

Application Forms complete in all respects and attached with relevant documents should be deposited in the offices of the concerned Deans of the Schools at University Campus, Srinagar, by or before 26th February, 2018.
