It has snowed in my Kashmir.
From the earth to the sky, everywhere and everything is white.
Bullet-ridden trees are covered by snow, with birds quite silent.
Powdery snow in which feet sink to the abyss,
Our beloveds are meant to miss.

Snowflakes fall in joy to kiss the bruised earth of Kashmir,
The wet collar of the Pheran, the watery boots and the watery streets cool down the ambers of the scary soul.
The dry eyes wait for the miracles to happen.
But oh, innocent Kashmiris, snowfall is a miracle!
Animals walk on the snow along the banks of the Jhelum,
To leave behind the traces that who the murderer is!
The snow in the Jhelum melts like the bodies and the houses in combats.

The choked voices are the herald of noise.
Fresh blood is hidden for a brief time,
But our red snow is the colour of our revolution.
Yes, it has snowed in my Kashmir.
