embrace the night

of each other’s sight

overpower our rights

succumb to our fright

Let’s not let our sorrow
bump into our delight
Let’s not let our hollowness
diminish our light

Let’s not let our love be demoted
to banality or a trite

And,
In wraps of dawn is wrapped our tryst
Let’s not let the night cause it to desist.
