IUST Awantipora – Admission Notification No. 01 of 2017

Srinagar: Islamic University of Science & Technology has issued IUST Awantipora – Admission Notification No. 01 of 2017.

As per IUST Awantipora – Admission Notification No. 01 of 2017, On-line Application Forms are invited from the eligible candidates for admission to below mentioned programmes at IUST for the Academic Session 2017-18.

The candidates are advised to peruse the Prospectus 2017 (available on the University websites) & go through the Admission Notification thoroughly to check the eligibility criteria/other details before filling and submitting their Application Forms On-line.

The IUST Awantipora – Admission Notification No. 01 of 2017 invites Application Forms for Post Graduate (PG) Programmes, Under Graduate (UG) Programmes and Polytechnic Diploma Programmes.

NOTE: The candidates desirous to seek admission to any academic programme under NRI quota are exempted from appearing in GATE / CMAT / MAT / UGAT / Institutional MAT of IUST / JEE 2017 / University Entrance Test, wherever applicable. The selection shall be based on the merit obtained in the respective qualifying examination, reads the IUST Awantipora – Admission Notification No. 01 of 2017.

IMPORTANT DATES:

SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION FORMS: IUST Awantipora – Admission Notification No. 01 of 2017 directs the candidates to follow the below mentioned steps for filling the details in their On-line Application Forms:

Step-1: Visit the University Website http://www.iustlive.com or www.islamicuniversity.edu.in and follow the link Admissions 2017.

Step-2: Read the instructions carefully and click on “Proceed” button for online submission of Application Form.

Step-3: Apply for Undergraduate / Postgraduate / Diploma programmes and select the desired Programme(s) & Preferences (wherever applicable) & upload your latest passport size photograph. Enter your Personal as well as Academic Details very carefully.

Step-4: Ensure that the details are entered correctly before clicking on “Submit” button to submit the Form. On the successful submission of Form, you will get an Acknowledgement Message mentioning your Name, Applicant Number and Application Form Number.

Step-5: There shall be two modes of payment of fee (online & offline) and applicants can choose any one of them either through online mode or against the pay-in-slip generated with the Application Form in any branch of J&K Bank Ltd across the State / Country, as per their convenience & feasibility.

Step-6: The application fee for all the programmes except Three Year Engineering diploma programmes is Rs. 1000/-. Candidates opting for payment/self-financing as one of the choices shall have to pay an additional application fee of Rs. 500/- and candidates opting for NRI as one of the choices shall have to pay an additional application fee of Rs. 500/-.

The IUST Awantipora – Admission Notification No. 01 of 2017 reveals the the application fee for Three Year Engineering Diploma programmes is Rs. 300/-. Candidates opting for payment/self-financing and NRI as one of the choices shall have to pay an additional application fee of Rs. 300/- and Rs. 500/- respectively.

In case candidates applying for more than one programme, they shall have to pay an additional fee of Rs. 100/- (per programme) as application fee. However, candidates opting for payment/self-financing and NRI as one of the choices in additional programme shall have to pay the additional application fee as mentioned above.

SUBMISSION OF HARD COPY OF DOWNLOADED APPLICATION FORMS:

• Eligible candidates who are desirous to apply either in one or more than one programme(s) are advised to make the required Photostat copies of the printed Application Form along with Bank Receipt(s) of pay-in-slip (University Copy) and required documents as mentioned in the Prospectus 2017 and submit the hard copies in the respective departments accordingly. However, for the candidates who deposit their fee through Online Payment Mode (Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card), need not to submit the Bank Receipt(s) of pay-in-slip (University Copy).

• The candidates are advised to check the Application Form Status online using the generated Applicant Number after 48 hours of the submission of hardcopy of the Application Form. The candidates are further advised to visit the University Website frequently in order to download their Admit Cards and other updates.

• The candidates are advised to submit a print out of the downloaded copy of the Application Form along with all relevant self-attested documents in the concerned Teaching Department at IUST Awantipora either personally or by Registered/Speed Post to the Registrar, Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora from 19th to 30th of June 2017 (excluding holidays). Applications Forms received personally or through Registered/Speed Post after the last date shall not be entertained.

• The candidature of applicants who fail to submit the hard copies of their Application Forms within the stipulated period of time shall be rejected.

DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED: According to IUST Awantipora – Admission Notification No. 01 of 2017, the self-attested Photostat copies of the following documents are to be attached with the hard copy of each Application Form:

• State Subject Certificate.
• Date of Birth Certificate.
• Marks Certificate of the Qualifying Examination.
• JEE Main (Paper-I) / GATE / CMAT / MAT / IUST MAT Score Card (wherever applicable).
• Valid Reserved Category Certificate issued by the concerned authorities (wherever applicable).
• Certificate of Permanent Resident of J&K or of J&K Origin (in case of NRI-sponsored candidate).
• Undertaking as per the prescribed format and certificate from the bank proving the valid NRI account in the name of the sponsor of the candidate including his/her current valid full address abroad with phone number (in case of NRI-sponsored candidate).
• Original Copy of Pay-in-Slip (in case of offline Payment Mode applicants).

IMPORTANT NOTES :

• The soft copy of the Prospectus 2017 can be downloaded from the University website : www.islamicuniversity.edu.in

• The date(s) for Entrance Test(s) for all programmes [except B.Tech Civil, ECE, EE, ME and CSE Programmes] shall be notified separately, reveals IUST Awantipora – Admission Notification No. 01 of 2017..

• Candidates who are eligible to apply for B.Tech. Engineering, MBA / MBA (IB), MCA / M.Sc. IT and Polytechnic Diploma Programmes shall have to mention their preferences for selection according to their choice/interest. Once the preference for selection is opted, no change shall be entertained afterwards.

• The candidates interested in Self-Financing / payment category and NRI quota shall indicate their choice in the application form.

• Candidates are advised to remain in touch with the University website to download the Admit Cards / Roll Number slips (wherever applicable).

• *According to the IUST Awantipora – Admission Notification No. 01 of 2017, the candidates who have not appeared in CMAT / MAT are eligible to apply for MBA, MBA-IB programmes. However, they shall have to appear in the Institutional MAT of IUST, the date of which shall be notified separately. Moreover, the candidates who have already appeared in CMAT/MAT can also opt to appear in IUST Institutional MAT (if interested) in order to improve their score(s). The merit/selection list shall be prepared on the scores of CMAT / MAT / Institutional MAT as per the procedure followed by the IUST.

• The candidates who have foreign degrees and are desirous to seek admission at IUST shall attach copy of the equivalence of degree certificates from AIU (Association of Indian Universities).

• No Under Process Certificate shall be entertained.

• The Admission Notification for Basic B.Sc. Nursing and Lateral Entry programmes shall be notified separately.
