Admissions 2019: Cluster University Srinagar issues clarification

Srinagar: Cluster University Srinagar has issued a couple of notifications for clarification regarding the admissions for the session 2019.

Cluster University Srinagar has invited online applications from eligible candidates to various Programmes offered in its Constituent Colleges for the academic session 2019. In this regard, it is clarified that University is offering two types of Programmes.

(A) 5-Year Integrated Programme, 3-Year Professional and 3-Year Honor’s Programmes for which selection shall be made, purely, on the basis of Merit obtained in Entrance Test to be conducted by the University.

(B) General Degree Programmes, B.A / B.Com / B.Sc / B.Sc (Home Science) in its Constituent Colleges, for which the selection shall be made on the basis of Academic Merit obtained in 10+2 Examination and Intake Capacity of the Programme to which candidate is seeking Admission.

Note: Candidates have to apply separately for each type of the above Programme!

Students who are admitted to B.A / B.Com / B.Sc [General Degree Programmes] and also get selected for Integrated/Honor’s/Professional Programmes after the conduct of the Entrance Test, their admission fee of the General Degree Courses shall be adjusted / refunded.

Another clarification issued by the University concerning Admission Notification No. 01 of 2019 reads, “In continuation to the Notification issued under No. CUS/Adm-I/2019; Dated: 10-01-2019, regarding admission to 5-Year Integrated Programme in Computer Applications and 3-Year Professional Programmes (BCA), it is notified for the information of the desirous students that the basic eligibility for the said programmes shall be read as “10+2 with Mathematics as main subject (as per latest AICTE Guidelines)” instead of “10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects”.
