Exams Postponed

SRINAGAR — Amid confusion caused by fake notifications, the Controller of Examinations, Dr Majid Zaman, clarified that all examinations of the University of Kashmir (KU) scheduled for December 30, 2024, have been postponed.

According to a notification issued by the Assistant Controller of Examinations at KU, as per the news agency JKNS, the postponement is due to inclement weather.

The notification reads, “In view of the inclement weather, all examinations of the University of Kashmir scheduled to be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, are postponed. Fresh dates for the postponed papers will be notified separately.”

Dr Majid Zaman confirmed that the decision was taken because of heavy snowfall in many parts of Kashmir, especially in the north and south regions. He added that the fake notifications claiming exams will proceed as scheduled are deliberately intended to mislead and create confusion among students.
