Srinagar: With little information getting available every day the UGC NET 2018 Exam is getting more and more exciting event for the aspirants.
The Applications can be filled from tomorrow, i.e September 01, 2018. Candidates are now updated with the session for the UGC NET 2018 exam. The time duration for the UGC NET 2018 Paper 1 and Paper 2 have been announced.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the dates through a public notice on nta.ac.in. The notification was released on the official website. Not just the time duration, but also the last date for paying the fee for the UGC NET 2018 application form have been announced too.
The UGC NET 2018 exam will be conducted for either “only Assistant Professor” or for “Both Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor from December 09, 2018 to December 23, 2018.
The students have been given the time duration for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 in both the shifts, i.e first shift and second shift.
The Duration of Paper 1 exam conducted in the 1st shift will be 1 Hour (09:30 AM – 10:30 AM) and for the 1 Hour for the second shift (03:30 PM to 05:30 PM). For the Paper-2, the duration for the exam conducted in the first shift will be 2 Hours (11:00 AM – 01:00 PM) and for the second shift, the time duration is 3:30 PM – 05:30 PM (2 Hours).
Through the same official notification (see image below), the last date for paying the Application fee has been announced. The candidates can apply online on the official website of NTA i.e nta.ac.in from September 01, 2018 to September 30, 2018, and the Application fee can be paid up to October 01, 2018.
The UGC NET Exam is going to be conducted between December 09, 2018 to December 23, 2018, and the students are very close to the exam conducted for the Junior Research Fellowship and the Assistant Professor program. Candidates are also given the facility of Test Practice Centers where the candidates can do the preparation for the exam. Students will get to know about the important questions for the exam and can also get their doubts cleared.
In the previous session that is for the exam conducted in July 2018, the exam pattern got changed. Many things including the number of papers, Number of Questions, exam timing and also, the age limit had been changed. However, even after the NTA took over the responsibility of conducting the UGC NET exam from December onwards, there hasn’t been any change in the exam pattern or the timings or the Age Limit.
Speaking of the number of questions and marking scheme of the UGC NET 2018 Paper 1 and Paper 2, below are the details as informed officially by the National Testing Agency.
Paper 1
The exam has been given the weightage of 100 Marks. The marks are divided among 50 Questions. The students are required to attempt all the questions.
Paper 2
200 Marks have been allotted to the UGC NET 2018 Paper 2 and the students have to attempt all the 100 questions asked.
