Universities postpone various exams in Kashmir

SRINAGAR — Universities including Cluster University Srinagar and Islamic University of Science & Technology have postponed various examinations in the Valley.

“It is notified for the information of all concerned candidates, who are scheduled to appear in the Entrance Test – 2019, for admission to various 5-Year Integrated, 3-Year Honor’s and Professional Programmes and the students of B.A / B.Sc / B.Com (Under Graduate) Programmes (Regular and Backlog) II Semester – 2019, that their Entrance Test and UG II Semester examination, scheduled for 27-02-2019 (Wednesday) and 28-02-2019 (Thursday), is hereby postponed,” reads a notification issued by Cluster University Srinagar.

It further said, “The Date Sheet for rest of the papers will remain unchanged. The revised Date Sheet for postponed papers will be notified separately.”

A similar notification was yesterday issued by Islamic University of Science & Technology. The notification read, “It is notified for the information of all the concerned that the semester examinations for all the courses scheduled on 27-02-2019 and 28-02-2019 have been postponed.”

“However, the examinations scheduled for 01-03-2019 shall be held as per schedule. Further all the students are informed to visit the university website for latest updates regarding examinations and changes in the datasheet,” the notification further read.

Meanwhile, University of Kashmir today extended the last date for submission of examination forms for B.Ed 1st & 2nd Semester.

“In continuation to this office Notification No:-F(Online Forms-B.Ed)KU/19; Dated: 14/02/2019, the date of submission of online examination forms for the B.Ed 1st & 2nd Semester has been extended up to 06/03/2019,” a notification, issued in this connection, reads.
