KU gears up for 2015 PG admissions; Entrance tests scheduled for April

SRINAGAR — The University of Kashmir has officially set the wheels in motion for its 2015 academic session admissions, advising prospective post-graduate students to begin preparations for entrance examinations scheduled for April.

According to a circular issued by the Office of the Dean of Academic Affairs, the formal notification detailing the admission process for Post-Graduate and other courses will be released in the second week of February 2015.

To ensure a smooth application process, the university administration has urged all aspirants to keep their necessary paperwork ready well in advance of the submission dates. The required documents include:

1. Marks Certificates
2. State Subject Certificate
3. Date of Birth Certificate
4. Character Certificate
5. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer (strictly for in-service candidates)

Strict Guidelines for Reserved Categories

The university has issued a firm directive regarding reserved category applications, warning candidates that the plea of a certificate being “under process” will not be entertained. All reserved category certificates must be fully issued and ready at the time of form submission.

Additionally, applicants seeking admission under the Sports Category are required to proactively contact the Director of Physical Education and Sports at the university to complete the verification of their sports certificates well ahead of time.

To assist students in their preparation for the April entrance tests, the university announced that previous years’ question papers and the official syllabi for all PG and other programs have been made available online. Aspirants can access these resources by visiting the university’s official websites at www.kashmiruniversity.net or www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in.

The circular is officially dated January 20, 2015, marking the beginning of the university’s academic recruitment cycle for the year.
