SRINAGAR — Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST-K) has announced that the written examination for admission to Doctoral degree programmes for the academic session 2015-16 will be held on January 31, 2015. The test will be conducted from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Shuhama, Alusteng, Ganderbal.

The entrance test is intended for candidates seeking admission to Ph.D. programmes in Environmental Sciences, Microbiology, Veterinary Clinical Medicine, Animal Nutrition, Veterinary Pathology, Livestock Products Technology, Statistics and Fisheries.

According to a notification issued by the Academic Section (vide No: AU/Accad/2014/28-82 dated 06-01-2015), admit cards for eligible candidates will be available shortly for download on the university’s website www.skuastkashmir.ac.in. Candidates may also obtain the admit cards from the Registrar’s office.

The notice also mentions that a Research Aptitude Assessment (RAA) for shortlisted candidates will be conducted separately, and the date will be notified later.

Candidates have been directed to report to the examination centre by 10:00 AM and must carry their original credentials along with the admit card, blue/black pens and pencils. Items such as books, calculators, mobile phones, and USB drives are strictly prohibited.

Special emphasis has been laid on the discipline of Animal Biotechnology and Veterinary Biochemistry, with the written test being an essential part of the selection process. The university clarified that possession of an admit card alone does not confirm selection unless all eligibility criteria are met.
