SRINAGAR — Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday invited 21 like-minded parties to join the closing ceremony of the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra in Srinagar on January 30.
According to reports by news agency KNS, Kharge has invited 21 like-minded parties through a letter to join the concluding ceremony of the Yatra to be held in Srinagar on January 30 at 1:00 PM onwards.
He said the function is dedicated to the memory of Mahatma Gandhi who lost his life on this day in his tireless struggle against the ideology of hatred and violence.
“At this event, we will commit ourselves to fighting hatred and violence to spread the message of truth, compassion, and non-violence and to defend the Constitutional values of liberty, equality, fraternity, and justice for all,” he said.
He also that the Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi from Kanyakumari to Kashmir had now completed over 3,300 km.
