Mehbooba Mufti’s PSA detention extended by 3 months

SRINAGAR — Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA) was extended by three months on Tuesday, sources disclosed.

Highly placed sources revealed said that Home department this evening extended PSA of Mehbooba Mufti by three months.

Mehbooba is under detention from August 05 when BJP-led Centre abrogated J&K’s special position and bifurcated it into two Union Territories.

Meanwhile, authorities have also extended PSA of NC leader Ali Muhammad Sagar and PDP leader Sartaj Madni as well, sources said. Both leaders were detained under PSA on February 06 this year after completing six months under detention.
