JAMMU — Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday arrived in Jammu for a two-day visit. He was welcomed by Congress leaders and workers in large numbers who showered petals on his cavalcade.
He was led to Jammu city in the shape of a rally by the party activists. Soon after his arrival, the Congress leader left for Katra and paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishnav Devi.
Party spokesperson said that Rahul Gandhi trekked on foot to pay obeisance at the holy cave shrine of Mata Vaishnav Devi.
“On Friday, he shall be interacting with the party delegates at JK Resorts in Jammu from 1100 hours to 1230 hours,” a Party spokesperson said, adding, “He will also hold interaction with the senior party leaders and shall return to New Delhi.”
