Peoples Democratic Party (JKPDP)

SRINAGAR — Authorities on Thursday released two more former MLAs of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from more than one-year-long detention.

The two senior leaders, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat and Aijaz Ahmad Mir, who were under house detention were informed by the authorities on Thursday morning that they were free to move out of their house and their detention has been revoked.

Both, along with other leaders and scores of political workers, were taken under preventive detention on August 5 last year after the Centre scrapped special status and bifurcated the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State into two Union territories.
