SRINAGAR — In view of evolving COVID-19 situation in the country and the need to take all necessary precautionary measures, registration for Shri Amarnath ji Yatra is being temporarily suspended, officials said.
An official said that the Board has temporarily suspended the registration process for pilgrims across the country.
He said the situation is being constantly monitored and it would be reopened once the situation improves.
Pertinently, for the first time since the outbreak of pandemic, India reports more than 3,15,000 fresh positive cases and 2091 deaths yesterday, which are the highest ever by any country since outbreak of COVID-19.
