Samsung Galaxy M30 receives Android Pie Update in India

SRINAGAR — Ahead of the schedule, the Samsung Galaxy M30 users in India are now receiving the Android Pie-based One UI update.

The update was scheduled to arrive on June 03, but Samsung India has started rolling it out early.

Alongside all the new things that Android Pie software update brings, the update also comes with the May 2019 Android security patch. The Samsung Galaxy M30 update version is M305FDDU1BSEA/M305FODM1BSEA/M305FDDU1BSE6 with a size is at 1144.25MB.

One UI brings you Android Pie, with exciting new features and a whole new look and feel based on feedback from users in Samsung and Google. We recommend that you backup your important data to keep it safe before the upgrade.

Some apps, including Calculator, Samsung Internet, Samsung Notes, and Samsung Members, need to be updated individually after you update your OS.

To use the Remote unlock function in Find My Mobile on an Android Pie device, the screen lock password (or PIM/pattern) backup process is required. So please make sure that you remember the screen lock password (or PIM/pattern) before starting the update process. If you’ve forgotten the password (or PIM/pattern), reset it before starting the update process.

The upgraded One UI for Android Pie comes with the following new features on Samsung Galaxy M30:

One UI

– Content, settings, and other information have been reorganized to keep you focused on the task at hand.
– Interactive elements have been moved to the bottom of the screen so they’re always within reach.
– New designs and features such as Night mode help keep your eyes comfortable.

The biggest change, as mentioned, is the jump from Samsung Experience v9.5 based on Android 8.1 Oreo to the more polished One UI v1.1 based on Android Pie.

One UI moves the interactive elements to the bottom section of the screen and also introduces Night Mode for a more comfortable viewing experience. It also adds new notification control features such as the ability to reply to messages directly from the notification panel and image thumbnails in notifications.

If you haven’t received a notification regarding the update on your Samsung Galaxy M30, we suggest you head over to Settings > Software Update to check for the update, and if there is one then click on Download updates manually.

As you can see, the size of the update is rather big, so we recommend you download over a strong WiFi connection. Users will also need to have at least 20 percent battery on their phone to trigger the installation process.

Earlier, Samsung M10 and M20 also started receiving the Android Pie-based One UI update.
