6th Yousuf Memorial Cricket Tournament: GDC Pulwama qualifies for quarterfinal

Srinagar: In the ongoing 6th Yousuf Memorial Cricket Tournament, Government Degree College (GDC) Pulwama defeated Amar Singh College by four wickets at Islamia College of Science and Commerce ground here on Saturday.
Batting first, Amar Singh College scored 148 runs and lost all the wickets in 30 overs. Abbas with 65 runs and Zahid Nazir with 21 were highest scorers for them. For GDC Pulwama Aqib and Basit took three wickets each.
Chasing a modest target of 149, GDC Pulwama scored the runs in 26.02 overs. Aqib scored 50 runs and Umar scored 33 for them. For Amar Singh College Wasim took three wickets. Aqib Hussain was adjudged as man of the match for his all-round performance. With this win, GDC Pulwama has qualified for the quarterfinal of the event.
The Tournament is being organised by the Department of Physical Education Islamia College of Science and Commerce and is being sponsored by the Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association.
