Police has arrested a man for allegedly killing his wife in central Kashmir’s Kangan town of Ganderbal district.

Body of a boy who drowned along with his friend while bathing in river Sindh in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district was retrieved after three days on Wednesday.

Rescue team has fished out the body of a Srinagar youth who along with his friends had drowned in Nallah Sindh near Kijh Park Kangan yesterday.

Two youth from Srinagar who were taking bath in Nallah Sindh in Kangan area drowned this late afternoon, however, one was rescued while another is still missing.

After the encounter that sparked clashes in Pulwama's Kangan village on June 03, police have so far arrested 17 youth including a lecturer.

Among the three militants killed in a gunfight between militants and government forces, one is believed to be the Operational Commander of Jaish-e Muhammad militant outfit, however police said identities are being ascertained.

Three JeM militants were killed and an Army soldier was injured in a gunfight between militants and government forces in Astan Mohalla in Kangan area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Wednesday.
