PULWAMA — During a meeting of the party workers in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President in the union territory, Sofi Yousuf, claimed that the BJP would form the next government in the erstwhile state.

He also added that the party is expected to unfurl 60 to 70 thousand Tricolor flags in the south Kashmir district under the ‘Har Gar Tiranga’ programme.

Sofi Yousuf said that the flags will be unfurled to give a strong message to the ‘forces’ which claimed that there would be no one to stand with the Indian tricolour if Article 370 was removed.

He went on to state that the abrogation of Article 370 by the ruling party at the Centre helped to end the ‘shutdown culture’ in Kashmir. “Businesses run without any disruptions these days,” he added.

Mr Sofi also stated that the party is ready for Assembly elections, which he said would likely be held at the end of this year. “We will form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir,” he claimed.
