SHOPIAN — Jabina Bashir, a girl from the Scheduled Tribe Gujjar community, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2021 or NEET 2021 and got selected for MBBS.

From a remote village called Zampathri in Keller Block of the southern district, the girl is being hailed for the achievement which is rare in the community.

While talking about her feat, Jabina said she was very happy. “I want to advise students to focus on their studies and take good advantage of their smartphones instead of misusing them.”

She also asked parents in Kashmir to trust their children’s ability and support them, from time to time.

A local, while talking about Jabina Bashir, said the achievement of the girl student was a very important moment for the Gujjar community as it will inspire more students to do good in such competitive examinations.

JKBOPEE released the provisional merit list on January 24

It is pertinent to mention here that the NEET 2021 result was announced on November 1, 2021.

On January 24, JKBOPEE released the provisional merit list for the candidates who had registered for NEET 2021 counselling and have got their documents verified.

The merit list has been released at jkbopee.gov.in, which displays the names of the candidates who have qualified NEET-UG 2021 and are now qualified for the counselling.

Earlier, Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE), had released the list of the eligible candidates for admission into MBBS / BDS / BPT / BUMS / BAMS courses.
