Four-year-old girl dies after tree falls on her in Bandipora

SRINAGAR — A minor girl died after a tree fell on her in northern Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday evening.

Reports from the local news agency Kashmir Scroll said that due to a heavy windstorm, a tree fell on a girl aged four years old and injured her critically in Shiekhpora locality of Tulibal area in Bandipora district.

However, she was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

A police officer said that the deceased girl has been identified as Madhiya Nazir, daughter of Imran Nazir, a resident of Tulial Gurez.
