SRINAGAR — Mobile data restrictions and suspension of certain telecom services in the Kashmir Valley are likely to remain in place till Wednesday evening, with authorities set to review the situation tomorrow before taking a final call on continuation or relaxation of curbs.

The Jammu and Kashmir Home Department has confirmed the temporary suspension and curtailment of telecom services across the Valley.

Prepaid mobile data services across the Kashmir Valley have been reduced to 2G speed not exceeding 128 kbps on 2G, 3G and 4G networks. In addition, prepaid mobile services, including data, voice and SMS, remain suspended across the Valley.

The restrictions came into effect from 0900 hours on March 1 and are scheduled to continue till 2000 hours on March 4.
