SRINAGAR — The Directorate of Lifelong Learning (DLL), University of Kashmir, has announced admissions to a wide array of short-term professional and vocational certificate courses. These courses, designed to enhance employability and skill development, will be offered both at the university’s Naseem Bagh campus in Hazratbal and at designated training centres across Kashmir.
According to the notification, the courses are open to candidates meeting basic eligibility criteria, including minimum educational qualifications ranging from Class 10 to graduation, depending on the course.
Some of the prominent courses offered include:
- Net, AutoCAD 2D + 3D, C++, Web Designing, and Desktop Publishing (Eligibility: 10th/10+2 with computer knowledge)
- CCTV Installation, Solar Panel Installation, and Electrical Training
- Communication & Soft Skills and Call Centre Operations (Open to 10th pass or above)
- Medical and Legal Transcription, Spoken English, Tally Accounting, and Cisco Certifications
The duration of these courses varies from two weeks to three months, with course fees ranging between ₹1,000 and ₹18,000.
Applications are invited on a prescribed format and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. The last date for submission of application forms has been extended to February 3, 2015.

Application forms are available at the Directorate of Lifelong Learning, University of Kashmir, and at various designated centres across different districts including Anantnag, Baramulla, Bandipora, Budgam, Kupwara, Pulwama, Shopian, and Srinagar.
Training will be conducted at 29 registered institutes, including SoftTech Computer Education (Budgam), HI-Fi Computer Tech Institute (Kupwara), CADD Centre (Srinagar), and various others, with contact details provided for each centre.
