Anantnag: An interactive talk session about empowerment of youth, “IGNITE – Lighting The Way” was held Wednesday in Delhi Public School Anantnag.
The event, organized by SRB Style Statement, witnessed inspirational stories being shared by some budding and successful entrepreneurs with the audience.
The guest speakers included Mir Waseem Haneef (Solace International School), Mehvish Zargar (Me ‘n’ U Cafe), Ovais Altaf (Kathi Junction – IUST), Sajad Ahmad (Chew ‘n’ Brew mobile fast-food joint) among others.
“Earning salary is not difficult. Take a challenge to provide salaries to other people. In order to succeed, you need to be mentally strong or strongly mental,” Mir Waseem Haneef advised the young audience.
Mehvish Zargar, while speaking during “IGNITE – Lighting The Way”, said, “Take a dream, work and fulfill it. It’s very difficult to start a new venture being a girl but it’s not impossible. Pursue what you are good at.”
“You have to be mentally strong in whatever you do. Nothing great can be achieved unless you don’t know what you like to do,” Sajad told the gathering.
Shahid Rashid also addressed the gathering. He said, “I want to showcase the rich art and culture of Kashmir in the rest of the world through my designer fashion label. Kashmiriyat is imbibed in all my designs which outlines my brand from the rest.”
The DPS Anantnag school staff including the Principal thanked the organizers for the programme while the students expressed happiness for being able to get insights into the lives of successful entrepreneurs and businessmen.
At the end of the event, certificates were given to participants. Also, media persons from south Kashmir were felicitated on the occasion.
