Ganderbal: To curb black marketing and profiteering of essential commodities, a team of officials conducted market checking at Tulmulla area of Ganderbal district here today.
The team included officials of CA&PD, Revenue, Police and Municipality. Headed by Tehsildar Tulmulla Ganderbal, the team conducted market checking at various markets of Tumulla area including Gangerhoma, Tawheed Chowk Ganderbal.
The team destroyed outdated food items, polythene, rotten vegetables and fruits and realized a fine of Rs. 3500/- from the erring traders.
The drive against the erring traders is likely to continue in entire Ganderbal district and the officials are mulling to take strict action against the defaulters.
