Handwara: A gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Handwara. The officials said that a gunfight broke out when forces including Special Operation Group of police and various units of army launched a combing operation in Mohaldari forests of Wadara Bala in Handwara area. The hiding militants believed to be three in number fired on the forces leading to a gunfight. The encounter was going on when the report was filed.
