SRINAGAR — Government forces on Friday morning launched a cordon-and-search operation at Batgund village in Hajin area of northern Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
A senior police officer said that a joint team of Army’s 13 RR, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search operation at Batgund village of Hajin in northern Kashmir.
Sources said that the operation was launched following the inputs about the movement of suspected militants.
“All entry and exit points of the area have been sealed and door to door searches are going on,” sources said
However, there were no immediate reports of any untoward incident. The search operation was going on till last reports came in.
It is pertinent to mention here that it’s the same place where two LeT millitants and a 12-year old boy were killed last week.
