47 security personnel injured during clashes: SSP Baramulla

BARAMULLA — Large number of security personnel including one assistant commandant was injured during clashes in Pattan area.

SSP Baramulla said that miscreants staged protests and pelted stones on the security forces deployed on National Highway at different places.

As per the statement, clashes erupted at Mirgund, Chainabal, Harthrath, Singhpora, Jheel bridge, Kripalpora Payeen and Hanjiwera areas of Baramulla district.

“The clashes resulted in injuries to 47 security forces personnel including 01 Assistant Commandant of SSB 2nd Bn, who was hit on his head,” the statement added.

He said, “Utmost restraint was maintained by the forces on ground, however, about 07 miscreants got injured who are all stable.
