
GANDERBAL — Police has booked a youth under Public Safety Act (PSA) on charges of stone-pelting in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The youth identified as Javaid Ahmed Wani alias Musa was arrested on 17 May last month on charges of stone-pelting.
Police sources said that the youth who is the resident of Kachan Ganderbal was booked under Public Safety Act vide number 1/DMG/PSA/2020 and shifted to Kot Bhalwal Jail.
When contacted, a police official confirmed that the youth has been booked under PSA. He said the youth was a ‘chronic’ stone-pelter.
