Suspected militants attack police checkpoint in Kulgam

QAZIGUND — Unknown persons fired upon police deployment party at Dalwash area of Qazigund in Kulgam.

Sources said that unknown persons travelling in a white color van, from toll post towards Qazigund, attacked police deployment party.

The suspected militants fired upon the party and later on escaped from the spot. Sources added that there was no loss of life or injuries to any cop in the attack.

Shortly after the attack, the area was cordoned off and a search operation was launched in the area.
