Fresh snowfall, shooting stones close Srinagar-Jammu NHW-44

SRINAGAR — Srinagar-Jammu highway (NHW-44) was closed on Thursday following fresh snowfall and shooting stones along the thoroughfare.

Reports reaching here said that fresh snowfall was reported at Jawahar Tunnel and shooting stones and landslides occurred in the Keri area of Udhampur.

“The Jammu-Srinagar highway remains still blocked due to landslides, shooting stones at several places. Men and machinery are on job to restore the traffic,” an official said.
