BJP worker’s vehicle fired upon in Jammu

JAMMU — Unidentified gunmen fired upon the vehicle of a BJP worker in Jammu today. Police said no one was injured in the attack.

Sources said that a Scorpio car bearing (JK02CD-0799) parking at Qasim Nagar Chowk Bagh-e-Bahu Jammu was fired upon by unknown gunmen.

At the time of firing, the Scarpio owner, who is a known BJP worker, was not present in the vehicle but was busy in buying household items in the Narwal market.

The Scorpio owner, rather BJP worker, has been identified as Liaqat Ali son of Showkat Ali of Raika Bagh-e-Bahu Jammu.

Sources said police have taken cognizance of the incident.
