Gunfight breaks out in Kishtwar, says Army

SRINAGAR — An encounter broke out between security forces and militants in the Dool area of Kishtwar, Jammu division, on Sunday morning.

According to a post on X by the White Knight Corps, alert Indian Army troops, acting on intelligence inputs, established contact with militants in the area in the early hours of August 10. Gunfire was exchanged, and the operation is ongoing.

Security forces have cordoned off the location, and reinforcements have been rushed to the spot.
